A familiar courtside joke: you find a paddle you enjoy, and your partner wants another turn with it. Dan has an answer.

Dan is a fictional character in a scripted KOBO brand dramatization, not an actual customer testimonial or performance test. Captions are included. Watch on YouTube · Read the transcript.

Does It Fit Your Game?

KOBO positions the Thunder AXE for upper-intermediate and advanced players who value touch, handling and a stable 18mm feel. Three design features connect to those priorities:

Listed weight is 230 g ± 5 g, approximately 8.1 ounces. Consider grip comfort and balance alongside weight. These are KOBO’s design intentions; your contact and technique shape the result.

Scripted dialogue spoken by the fictional character Dan:

I don't get paid a hundred grand a year to play with this paddle. Actually, I paid nearly 400 bucks for it, and it's worth every penny. It's called the KOBO Thunder AXE. It's an unusual shape. It has air channels, and it moves real quick from side to side in a firefight. I love the feel of it on drives, and it helps me keep the ball low on drops and resets real well. I play four or five times a week. I'm not the best player here, but I win lots of games with my Thunder AXE, and all these young hotshots are asking me to try it. I tell them, Buddy, get your own!
